To Chop or Not To Chop Your Hair?

If you are one of those girls that feel a tear coming on whenever it’s time to have your regular haircut of about one inch of hair, then chopping off a considerable portion of it, in order to give it a healthier and more put-together look might sound out of the question.

It is however something to consider in the following cases: if your hair is damaged, has split-ends, is getting thinner and thinner from the roots down and no amount of hair treatment seems to restore its shine, then chopping it off to at least half its length might improve your look dramatically.

If you don’t like putting a lot of effort into styling your hair, getting it cut will certainly make your life easier. Having shorter hair doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself to a single style. You can use different styling hair products to get different looks.

Last, but not least, you are the one that has to live with the new haircut, so don’t cave in to your friend’s or mum’s opinions. Even your hairstylist, who knows what they’re talking about and probably have your best interest at heart, can’t force you to cut it. They can however help you choose a style that will work for you.

If you are too scared to make a dramatic change you might try to cut your hair in stages so that it won’t be too short too soon. The most important thing to remember is that your hair will grow back….eventually!
